Day 01: Arrival at Cochin

On your arrival on at the Cochin airport, our representatives will meet you and accompany you on the drive back to the hotel. After your check in, retire to your room for a good night sleep.

Day 02: Cochin

This is the day when you start with your Kerala Golden Triangle travel package. The entire day will be spent in a sightseeing tour of Cochin, a city known for its natural beauty. Not only is it home to one of the best natural ports on the Arabian Seacoast, but also offers a wide diversity in the form of its architectural wonders. First stop on your itinerary for the day would be the Kochi harbour itself, which is embellished with Chinese fishing nets at its very entrance. As you move on, St. Francis Church will welcome you with open arms. Said to be the oldest church constructed by the Europeans in India, it was also the original resting place of Vasco da Gama. Dutch Palace, also known as Mattancherry Palace, will be next on the agenda, followed by Jewish Synagogue (where you can still find Scrolls of the Old Testament and a number of copper plates inscribed in Hebrew script). The day will end with a Kathakali Dance Show. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

 Day 03: Cochin – Periyar

After enjoying scenic beauty and architectural marvels, it is time to explore the flora and fauna of Kerala. So, early in the morning you will check out from your hotel in Kochi and leave for a visit to the Periyar Wild Life Sanctuary is one of the 16 Project Tiger Reserves and the few Elephant Reserves in India. Apart from its rich wildlife, the sanctuary is also known for its picturesque surroundings and the fact that it can only be enjoyed through a boat ride.

After arriving at Periyar, you will check into the hotel, freshen up and then leave for a boat cruise in the Periyar Lake. Apart from witnessing the royal tiger and majestic elephant in its natural habitat, you can also sneak a peek at the gaur, sambar, wild pig, Indian giant squirrel, Travancore flying squirrel, jungle cat, sloth bear, Nilgiri Tahrs, lion-tailed macaque, Nilgiri langur, Salim Ali’s fruit bat, stripe-necked mongoose, and Nilgiri marten. For bird lovers also this park is a paradise, housing over 250 species of birds. Also, the scenic Periyar Lake is home to as many as 40 species of fish. End the day with a luscious dinner and enjoy overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 04: Periyar – Kumarakom

On the fourth day of your Golden Triangle tour of Kerala, you will embark on your journey towards Kumarakom, fondly called the Island Village of Kerala. A cluster of small islands on the Vembanad backwaters, Kumarakom woos its visitors with its lush mangrove forests, green paddy fields, amazing waterways and splendid canals. It is home to the famous Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, a haven for bird watchers. You will check into the hotel on reaching the island and spend the rest of the evening at leisure. Overnight stay will be at the hotel.

Day 05: Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary

You will start your day with a visit to Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary, home to as many as 180 species of birds. It is spread over 14 acres and is visited by some rare migratory birds as well, like Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Enjoy spending the day with the avian life and then have some time at leisure to do independent activities. Overnight stay will be at the hotel

Day 06: Kumarakom – Alleppey – Cochin

A trip to Kerala can never be complete with enjoying its backwaters on a motorboat. So, today you embark on your journey to Alleppey, through a houseboat cruise, enjoying the web of lakes, lagoons, canals and rivers offered by the backwaters. You will also get a glimpse into the simple life of Kerala villages and the waterside activities of coir-making, toddy tapping, fishing, and rice growing. As you get down from the boat, our representative will escort you to the Cochin Airport from where you will catch the flight back home. With this, your Kerala Golden Triangle tour package comes to an end.
